If you didn’t get to hear the wonderful news a few weeks ago either at the last Soak evening or in the service (one of the last single services), I’ve been healed! At the end of one of the services, Pastor Britt shared that someone said the Lord wants to heal those with left knee pain. I knew that the word was for me (possibly for other people as well – and it turns out it was ;-), but my knee wasn’t painful that day. My mind raced, thinking I didn’t want the Devil to take my chance at a blessing, despite the current situation, so I went ahead and had prayer. Mrs. O’Quinn prayed, having prayed a few times in the previous months for my knee, likewise, Mrs. VanHoorn. I’m of the mentality that God likes us to “keep on knocking,” so I continued to ask for prayer over the years. It was especially nice to have those who know my story to be there praying. Prayer with detailed knowledge is very strong!
My left knee had suffered tremendous pain over the last 6 years or so after a car accident. The hospital staff were sure it would get better over time, that it wasn’t necessary for an x-ray or further treatment. I was too dazed at the time to speak up and in that season, too dazed on the home front to care. I did get to receive chiropractic attention to my ailments after the accident, which helped so much – Shout out to Dr. McKinley! Unfortunately, after Keith lost his job (there’s a Prayer Request, but that’s another story), we weren’t able to pay for that any longer, so I dealt with it year after year. Night after night, my hubby, Keith, would rub my knee to relieve the pain enough to go to sleep. He will tell you, he knows it’s healed too!
I am so grateful for the body of Believers at Hope in the City who obediently share Words of Knowledge. It has meant easier walking and no more worries about how we’re going to be able to pay for knee surgery. We love Hope in the City! Thank you. May the Lord richly bless y’all!
